PM Modi urges students to balance academics with skill development for gaming careers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised students interested in pursuing gaming as a career to maintain a balance between formal education and skill development, stressing that passion should be complemented with discipline and learning.
Interacting with students during a recent programme, the Prime Minister acknowledged the rapid growth of the gaming and esports industry, noting that it offers new career opportunities beyond traditional professions. However, he cautioned young aspirants against neglecting their studies, emphasising that education provides a strong foundation that remains relevant regardless of career paths.
Modi encouraged students to view gaming not merely as recreation but as a field that demands technical knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and strategic thinking. He said skills such as coding, design, storytelling, and problem-solving are essential for those who wish to succeed in the broader gaming ecosystem, which includes game development, animation, and digital content creation.
