Perez Hilton Hospitalised After Miami Deputies Respond To Wellness Check
Deputies responded to Perez Hilton's home after safety concerns.
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was reportedly seen harming himself during a livestream, prompting law-enforcement officers to visit his residence after receiving multiple calls from concerned viewers. Videos circulating online appeared to show Hilton injured, but authorities have not publicly provided a detailed update on his condition.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office told Newsweek that deputies responded to the property following reports of a person broadcasting acts of self-harm. Officers determined that Hilton was alone inside the residence and spoke with members of his family who were present at the scene, according to the department’s statement.
Deputies subsequently decided to disengage tactically while continuing to monitor the situation. The sheriff’s office said officers dealing with a person experiencing a mental-health crisis generally prioritise de-escalation by creating time and distance while keeping communication options open, unless the individual poses an immediate danger to others.

Authorities explained that slowing down such encounters and using crisis-intervention techniques can reduce the risk of injuries to the individual, responding officers and members of the public. Local journalists later reported seeing a man believed to be Hilton being transported from the residence in an ambulance, though officials had not immediately confirmed his identity or destination.
Earlier in 2026, Hilton said he had spent three weeks in hospital after contracting the flu and subsequently developing an ulcer, a perforation and sepsis. He described suffering additional complications, including an elevated heart rate and another infection, before his condition improved sufficiently for him to return home. Hilton is a single father of three children.
The incident has renewed attention on the risks of circulating graphic self-harm footage online. Such material should not be reposted, and viewers should report it through the platform’s safety tools. Anyone at immediate risk of harming themselves should contact local emergency services or seek urgent assistance from a qualified crisis-support provider.
