Pakistan Strikes Hard: Three Notorious Terrorists Taken Down in Daring Raid

Counter-Terrorism Department and police eliminate key Fitna Khawarij Darrar militants in Bannu district operation.

In a major victory against terrorism, Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and local police killed three high-profile terrorists from the banned Fitna Khawarij Darrar group in a daring intelligence-based operation in Bannu district, near North Waziristan, on Wednesday night.

The slain terrorists, identified as Mudassir alias Mudassari, Turaab alias Umar Khattab alias Malang, and Muhammad Hussain alias Muaz, were linked to multiple attacks, including the targeted killings of law enforcement officers Kamran, Nusrat, Sikandar, and ASI Asghar, as well as assaults on Bannu Cantonment, city police stations, and the Mirakhel incident.

The operation, led by Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan and District Police Officer Saleem Abbas Kulachi, successfully neutralized these high-value targets. Authorities recovered a Kalashnikov rifle with three magazines, a pistol, and a locally-made improvised explosive device (IED) from the scene, underscoring the threat posed by the group.
