PAK TERROR ATTACK!! Deadly Suicide Attack Rocks Pakistan

A devastating suicide attack struck Bannu Cantonment in northwest Pakistan, killing at least 12 people, including four children and two women, and injuring 30 others.

A devastating suicide attack struck Bannu Cantonment in northwest Pakistan, killing at least 12 people, including four children and two women, and injuring 30 others. The assault, claimed by Jaish Al Fursan—a faction of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) affiliated with Hafiz Gul Bahadur—unfolded when two explosive-laden vehicles rammed into the cantonment’s boundary wall around sunset. Located 200 kilometers southwest of Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military facility became a battleground as security forces neutralized six terrorists, though others were reportedly cornered in an ongoing clearance operation.

The blasts shattered nearby civilian structures, including a mosque, where debris trapped victims. Dr. Numan, spokesperson for Bannu’s DHQ Hospital, confirmed the grim toll, noting that the injured were swiftly evacuated for treatment. The attack’s ferocity breached the cantonment wall, allowing terrorists to attempt an infiltration, only to be met with a robust military response. Authorities sealed off access routes, signaling a prolonged effort to eliminate remaining threats.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the violence, calling it “extremely tragic” during Ramadan, and extended condolences to the victims’ families while demanding a detailed report. The strike underscores a surging wave of militancy in Pakistan, with January 2025 alone recording 74 attacks and 91 deaths nationwide, per the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly its tribal and settled districts, remains a hotspot, bearing the brunt of this bloody resurgence.

This latest assault on Bannu, a recurring target for militants, highlights the persistent challenge posed by TTP factions.
