Nalgonda Set For ₹3,000 Crore Road Infrastructure Boost Under Revanth Reddy
Nalgonda gets ₹3,000 crore road infrastructure boost.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is set to lay the foundation stone for Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects worth approximately ₹3,006 crore during his visit to Nalgonda district on Sunday. Ahead of the visit, Roads, Buildings and Transport Department Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj reviewed preparations at key venues and directed officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements for both the foundation stone-laying ceremony and the public meeting scheduled as part of the programme.
Vikas Raj inspected the arrangements at the NG College grounds in Nalgonda district headquarters, where the Chief Minister will address a large public gathering. During the review, he instructed officials from various departments to make foolproof arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event, with a particular focus on crowd management, security, sanitation, drinking water, seating and other essential public facilities. The administration expects a large turnout for the Chief Minister's visit.
The senior official also visited Kanagal village, where Revanth Reddy will formally launch the ambitious road infrastructure project. The Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects, estimated to cost ₹3,006 crore, are aimed at improving road connectivity and upgrading transport infrastructure across the region. Under the HAM framework, infrastructure projects are executed through a partnership between the government and private developers, with construction costs and long-term maintenance responsibilities shared under a structured financing model.

During the inspection, Vikas Raj held a review meeting with District Collector B. Chandrasekhar and Superintendent of Police Sharath Chandra Pawar, directing them to coordinate closely to ensure seamless execution of the programme. He stressed the importance of providing adequate facilities for members of the public attending the event while also reviewing security arrangements. The Special Chief Secretary also inspected the helipad established at the District Police Training Centre and sought details from police officials regarding operational preparedness for the Chief Minister's arrival and departure.
The proposed road projects are expected to strengthen transportation infrastructure in Nalgonda district by improving connectivity between towns and villages, reducing travel time and supporting economic activity. Better road infrastructure is also expected to facilitate the movement of goods, improve access to healthcare and educational institutions, and promote industrial and agricultural development in the region. The state government has identified infrastructure development as one of its key priorities to accelerate economic growth across Telangana.
The Chief Minister's visit is expected to mark the formal commencement of one of the largest road infrastructure initiatives planned for the district in recent years. With officials completing final preparations, the administration has emphasised coordinated planning to ensure the successful execution of both the public meeting and the launch of the ₹3,006-crore HAM road projects, which are expected to play a significant role in enhancing connectivity and supporting long-term regional development.
