Musk Reignites Trump Feud with Epstein Files Jab, Pushes America Party Agenda

Elon Musk escalates his rift with Donald Trump, accusing him of withholding Jeffrey Epstein files and vowing to prioritize their exposure through his new America Party

The once-close alliance between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump has erupted into fresh conflict, with Musk accusing Trump of suppressing Jeffrey Epstein’s files and pledging to make their exposure a “high priority” for his newly formed America Party. The public spat, unfolding on Musk’s social media platform X, centers on the long-debated Epstein files, reigniting tensions that first flared over Trump’s controversial tax and spending bill.

On Tuesday, Musk posted on X, “How can people be expected to have faith in Trump if he won’t release the Epstein files?” Responding to a user asking if exposing the files would be a key goal for the America Party, Musk replied with a “100” emoji, signaling his commitment. This follows a Justice Department (DOJ) memo on Monday stating that no further disclosures about Epstein’s death or associates are warranted, denying the existence of a “client list” despite earlier claims by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The DOJ’s statement, asserting that Epstein’s 2019 death was a suicide and no client list was found, sparked outrage. Musk mocked the announcement with a clown meme captioned, “There is no Epstein list,” while conspiracy theorist Alex Jones sarcastically remarked that the DOJ might next claim Epstein “never existed.” Trump, when pressed at a White House press conference, dismissed the issue, saying, “You still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?” Bondi, who in February claimed the list was “on her desk,” also downplayed the matter.

Musk’s accusations echo a now-deleted June 2025 post where he claimed, without evidence, that Trump was named in the unreleased Epstein files, alleging this was why they remained sealed. Musk later admitted he “went too far” but has since doubled down, tying the issue to his America Party, launched to disrupt what he calls a “one-party system” bankrupting the US. Trump called the third-party idea “ridiculous,” branding Musk a “TRAIN WRECK” and dismissing third parties as doomed to cause “DISRUPTION & CHAOS.”

The Epstein files, comprising investigative documents on the disgraced financier’s sex-trafficking network, have fueled speculation due to Epstein’s ties to high-profile figures, including Trump, who socialized with him in the 1990s and early 2000s. While Trump’s name appears in flight logs and contact books, no evidence links him to Epstein’s crimes. Musk, photographed with Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell in 2014, has also faced scrutiny but denied any close connection.

The feud, initially sparked by Musk’s criticism of Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” for adding $2.4 trillion to the national debt, has turned personal, with Trump threatening to cut Musk’s government contracts and Musk vowing to challenge Republicans in midterms. As Musk pushes his America Party and the Epstein files narrative, the rift with Trump deepens, reshaping the political landscape.
