Four teenage boys were killed in a tragic road accident when their motorcycle collided head-on with a car in Jharkhand's Chatra district. The incident occurred on Thursday night along the Piparwar-Tandwa Road in the Chiraiyatand area, police confirmed on Friday. The victims, aged between 14 and 17 years, hailed from Baradih village and were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Piparwar police station officer-in-charge Abhay Kumar, the car was traveling from Bachra at the time of the collision. Eyewitnesses reported high speeds and poor visibility as possible factors, though investigations are ongoing to determine exact causes. Local authorities have registered a case and are examining vehicle conditions and road safety compliance.
The boys' untimely deaths have cast a pall of grief over Baradih village, where residents gathered to mourn the young lives lost. Families described the teens as bright students returning from a local outing, underscoring the vulnerability of rural youth to such mishaps. Community leaders called for stricter enforcement of helmet rules and speed limits on the stretch.
