Maharashtra MBA CAP Round 1 Schedule Out, Choice Filling From July 28

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced the schedule for CAP Round 1 of the MBA and MMS admissions process for the 2026–27 academic session. The online option form submission and choice filling process will begin on July 28 and continue until July 30, following the completion of document verification for 56,669 eligible candidates. The provisional seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on August 2, after which candidates must complete seat acceptance and institute reporting within the stipulated timelines.

Candidates participating in CAP Round 1 will be required to log in to the official admission portal and submit their preferred colleges and courses during the choice filling window. The preferences entered during this period will be considered for the provisional allotment process. The CET Cell has advised applicants to carefully review their selections before the deadline, as the choices submitted will play a key role in determining seat allocation during the counselling process.

Following the declaration of the provisional allotment results on August 2, candidates who receive their first-choice institute can confirm their admission by selecting the "Freeze" option and paying the prescribed seat acceptance fee online. Applicants who wish to remain eligible for higher-preference institutions in subsequent counselling rounds may choose the "Not Freeze/Betterment" option while still accepting the allotted seat. This allows candidates to retain their current allotment while remaining in contention for an upgraded seat in later rounds.

After completing the online seat acceptance process, candidates must report to their allotted institute with the required documents and admission fee within the specified reporting period. The CET Cell has cautioned that failure to complete seat acceptance or institute reporting before the deadline may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat. Candidates are therefore advised to closely follow the official counselling schedule and complete all admission formalities on time to secure their place in the MBA or MMS programme.
