Khalistanis Disrupt Hindu Demonstration Outside Bangladesh High Commission in London
A Hindu protest highlighting minority violence in Bangladesh was disrupted by Khalistanis outside the High Commission in London.
A peaceful demonstration organized by Bangladeshi-Hindus and British-Hindus outside the Bangladesh High Commission in London was disrupted on Saturday, December 27, 2025, by members of the Khalistani community. The protest aimed to draw international attention to the recent killings and targeted violence against Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh. Participants carried placards condemning the attacks and called for greater protection and accountability from the interim government in Dhaka. The event was intended as an expression of solidarity with the persecuted communities back home.
The demonstration took a tense turn when a group of Khalistanis arrived at the scene, waving Khalistani flags and raising loud anti-India slogans. Their actions reportedly sought to drown out the voices of the Hindu protesters and shift focus away from the issue of minority persecution in Bangladesh. Witnesses described the interruption as deliberate and aggressive, with the Khalistani group attempting to overshadow the original purpose of the gathering. The clash of narratives highlighted longstanding tensions between certain Sikh separatist elements and Indian-origin communities in the diaspora.
Manu Khajuria, a representative of the UK Insight group, expressed shock at the disruption. He stated that it was disturbing to witness Khalistani extremists trying to silence those advocating for harmony, human rights, and the safety of minorities. Khajuria emphasized that the protest was strictly focused on the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh and had no connection to unrelated political issues. He called the intervention an attempt to derail a legitimate call for justice and international scrutiny.

The London incident comes amid heightened global concern over violence against minorities in Bangladesh, particularly following the brutal lynching of 27-year-old Hindu garment worker Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh on December 18, 2025. Das was accused of blasphemy, attacked by a mob, hanged, and set on fire, sparking protests in multiple countries, including India, Nepal, and the UK. Similar demonstrations have been held in recent days to demand accountability and safeguards for vulnerable communities. The disruption in London has drawn attention to how diaspora politics can complicate efforts to address human rights issues abroad.
The protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission reflects the growing mobilization of Hindu communities worldwide in response to reports of escalating attacks. Organizers have stressed that their focus remains on religious freedom and minority protection in Bangladesh, urging the international community to take note of the situation. The interference by Khalistani elements has been widely condemned by participants as an unwarranted attempt to politicize and undermine a humanitarian cause. Authorities in London have not reported any arrests or major violence arising from the confrontation.
