#JUSTIN: Larijani Posts Tribute to Navy Officers Following Israel’s Claim of his Killing

Iran posts tribute to naval officers hours after Israel claims Ali Larijani was killed.

Moments after Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Katz claimed that Iran’s Security Chief Ali Larijani had been killed in an overnight strike, a post appeared on Larijani’s X account paying tribute to Iranian naval officers who died in the US-Israeli attacks.

The handwritten note, shared on the social media platform, honoured the “valiant martyrs of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy,” stating that their memory would remain in the hearts of the Iranian people. It added that these martyrdoms would strengthen the foundations of Iran’s armed forces for years to come.

“I beseech the Almighty God for the highest ranks for these dear martyrs,” the post read, reflecting the continued emphasis on honoring military personnel killed in recent hostilities.

The tribute comes amid heightened tensions between Israel, the United States, and Iran, following airstrikes targeting Iranian military personnel and infrastructure. Verification of Larijani’s status remains unclear, as independent confirmation from Iranian authorities has not yet been reported.

The post underscores Iran’s messaging strategy, focusing on valorizing military sacrifices while reinforcing national solidarity amid ongoing regional conflict.
