Jarkiholi Family Backs Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi After ED Raids His Premises
Brothers unite in support after ED searches PWD Minister's properties
The Jarkiholi family is standing by Karnataka Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi following searches conducted by the Enforcement Directorate at his residences and premises, his younger brother and BJP MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi said. Speaking to reporters in Gokak on September 10, Balachandra stressed that although the five Jarkiholi brothers belong to different political parties and may take contrasting positions in public life, they remain united on family matters.
“The Jarkiholi family is fully behind Satish Jarkiholi in the wake of the ED searching the houses and premises of the PWD Minister,” Balachandra said while speaking outside Satish Jarkiholi’s residence in Belagavi, northern Karnataka. His remarks came after the central agency’s searches drew political and public attention, with the Minister’s family publicly conveying its support amid the ongoing developments.
Balachandra said political affiliations did not determine the family’s response to personal matters involving one of the brothers. He explained that the five siblings may operate within different political organisations and follow separate political strategies, but that such differences do not affect their unity as a family. His statement was intended to underline the distinction between political disagreements and family solidarity.

“When it comes to politics, we may be in different parties and act differently. But when it comes to family matters, all five brothers are one,” the BJP MLA told reporters. The comments highlighted the unusual political spread of the Jarkiholi family, whose members have been associated with different parties while continuing to maintain close family ties.
The statement was made outside Satish Jarkiholi’s house in Belagavi, where his daughter Priyanka Jarkiholi, the Chikkodi MP, also resides. Balachandra’s visit and his public comments came at a time when the ED searches involving the PWD Minister have become a matter of political interest in Karnataka. However, he did not disclose details of the agency’s investigation or comment on specific allegations connected with the searches.
Balachandra’s remarks represent a clear expression of family support for Satish Jarkiholi as the developments surrounding the ED action continue to unfold. While the brothers remain divided across political lines, he maintained that their personal unity remains intact. The statement did not address the substantive aspects of the investigation, but focused on the family’s collective position and its decision to stand by the Minister during the ongoing scrutiny.
