Jaipur Doctor Unveils Innovative Cancer Care App at Global Summit in South Africa

Dr. Apoorva Tak, a leading gynaecological oncology specialist from Jaipur, showcased her innovative cancer care smartphone application, Apoorva, at the International Gynaecological Cancer Society (IGCS) Global Summit held in Cape Town, South Africa. The app, developed under the National Cancer Grid program, enables real-time monitoring of patients' symptoms, side effects, and treatment experiences by integrating patient-reported data directly with electronic medical records. This advancement promises to enhance personalized care and improve communication between doctors and patients.

Recognized as Rajasthan's first MCH specialized gynaecological oncologist, Dr. Tak emphasized that the Apoorva app is designed to empower cancer patients by providing an intuitive platform for tracking their treatment journey and recovery progress. By facilitating timely intervention and better data collection, the app also serves as a valuable tool in clinical trials, adhering to the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) guidelines.

The development process of the app involved international collaboration with oncology experts from the United States, Canada, France, and India, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge research and technology.
