Israel Orders Full Gaza City Evacuation Amid Escalation

The Israeli military issued an urgent call for the complete evacuation of Gaza City on Tuesday morning, signaling an imminent expansion of its military operations in northern Gaza. On the same day, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that the military had already demolished 30 high-rise buildings in Gaza, which he accused Hamas of using as operational hubs. “These structures were not just buildings but strategic assets for Hamas’s terrorist activities,” Katz stated, justifying the large-scale demolitions. The operations are part of a targeted campaign to neutralize what Israeli officials describe as critical military infrastructure hidden in civilian areas.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking on Monday, outlined plans to destroy at least 50 such “towers of terror” allegedly used by Hamas for command centers, weapon storage, and other military purposes. “We will not allow Hamas to exploit civilian infrastructure to wage war against us,” Netanyahu declared, emphasizing Israel’s resolve to cripple the group’s capabilities. The announcement has heightened tensions, with concerns mounting over the humanitarian impact of the planned offensive.
