Israel Hits Southern Lebanon Targets Despite Claims Of Ceasefire Extension

Israel carried out fresh airstrikes in southern Lebanon despite claims of a ceasefire extension, escalating tensions along the volatile border region. The strikes were reported hours after diplomatic signals suggested a possible continuation of the truce between Israel and Iran-backed groups operating in Lebanon.

According to Lebanese security sources, multiple  in southern Lebanon were targeted, with explosions heard across border villages. The Israeli military has not immediately issued a detailed statement, but officials have previously maintained that operations would continue against perceived threats, particularly those linked to Hezbollah.
