Larijani’s Defiant Message to US, Israel Echoes After Security Chief’s Death
Larijani said martyrs empower Iran; killing fuels Tehran’s resolve against US–Israeli pressure.
A message attributed to Iranian security chief Ali Larijani, warning that “martyrs make Iran stronger,” has resurfaced after his reported killing in a strike linked to Israel amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Iran.
The statement, believed to be among his final communications, emphasized that the deaths of Iranian personnel would reinforce the country’s resolve rather than weaken it. In the message, Larijani said that the “martyrdom” of those killed in the conflict would strengthen the foundations of Iran’s armed forces and national resistance.
His remarks came days before Israel claimed it had killed him in an airstrike targeting senior Iranian leadership. Iranian authorities later confirmed his death, describing it as one of the most significant losses since the escalation of hostilities involving the US and Israel.

The killing has sharply escalated tensions in the region, with Iran vowing retaliation and framing Larijani’s death as a catalyst for further resistance. Officials and military leaders have described the moment as one of “national awakening,” signalling that Tehran intends to intensify its response rather than de-escalate.
Larijani, a key figure in Iran’s political and security establishment, had also issued strong warnings to the US and Israel prior to his reported death, reflecting a hardline stance as the conflict deepened.
The broader conflict, now spanning multiple countries in the Middle East, has seen targeted strikes on leadership, missile exchanges, and rising global concerns over oil supply disruptions and regional instability, with Larijani’s death marking a critical turning point in the ongoing war.
