Iran Issues Safety Advisory For Residents Near US Bases In Gulf Countries

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned residents in Gulf countries hosting US military facilities to stay at least 500 metres away from American bases and related locations, citing rising tensions between Tehran and Washington. The warning was issued through Iranian state television as the conflict in the region continued to escalate, with both sides engaged in military actions and heightened rhetoric.
According to reports, the IRGC urged people living near US military installations, accommodation facilities, and other locations used by American personnel to maintain distance from those sites. The statement also called on residents to report the locations of US troops to Iranian authorities, raising concerns over the possibility of further escalation across the region.
The warning came shortly after the US military announced that it had carried out another round of strikes against Iranian targets. Following the announcement, reports emerged of explosions near a military base hosting US forces in northern Iraq, while air raid sirens were reported in Bahrain, increasing fears that the conflict could spread further among Gulf nations.

The confrontation between Iran and the United States has intensified in recent weeks, with Washington conducting repeated strikes against Iranian positions and Tehran targeting US interests, regional allies, and shipping routes. The Strait of Hormuz has remained a major focus of the tensions due to its importance for global energy supplies. Any disruption to shipping through the strategic waterway could affect crude oil prices and create wider economic concerns. The region is also facing additional pressure following attacks on Gulf shipping routes linked to Iran-backed groups.
Despite increasing casualties and economic risks, diplomatic efforts have yet to produce a breakthrough. The continuing confrontation has raised concerns among regional governments and international observers over the possibility of a broader conflict involving multiple countries in the Middle East.
