Infosys Q3 Profit Drops to ₹6,654 Crore Despite 9% Revenue Growth

Infosys Q3FY26 net profit dips 2.2% to ₹6,654 crore while revenue rises 8.9% to ₹45,479 crore.

IT major Infosys on Wednesday announced a 2.2% decline in consolidated net profit for the third quarter of FY26, reporting ₹6,654 crore compared to ₹6,806 crore in the same period last year. Despite the dip, the company’s revenue and contract pipeline reflect strong operational performance.

Revenue from operations for the quarter grew 8.89% year-on-year to ₹45,479 crore, up from ₹41,764 crore in Q3FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue increased 2.22%, compared to ₹44,490 crore in Q2FY26, highlighting steady growth momentum.

Total income for Q3FY26 stood at ₹46,618 crore, registering a 9.37% increase year-on-year and a 2.52% rise quarter-on-quarter. This growth was attributed to Infosys’ strong deal wins and increasing demand for its technology and consulting services.

CEO and MD Salil Parekh emphasized the company’s strategic focus on artificial intelligence, stating that clients increasingly view Infosys as their AI partner, leveraging its expertise to unlock business potential and drive value realization.

The company reported a total contract value (TCV) of $4.8 billion from large deals in Q3, with 57% coming from new contracts. Infosys also added 5,043 employees during the quarter, while employee attrition fell to 12.3%, down from 14.3% in the previous quarter.

On the profitability front, Infosys reported an IFRS operating margin of 18.4% and an adjusted operating margin of 21.2%, with basic IFRS EPS at ₹16.17 and adjusted EPS at ₹18.53. Shares closed at ₹1,608.90 on the BSE, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s long-term growth strategy.
