Indore Police Launches Madhya Pradesh’s First AI Chatbot ‘Safe Clicks’
Madhya Pradesh unveils first AI chatbot for real-time fraud protection.
The Indore Police Commissionerate has shattered new ground by rolling out 'Safe Clicks,' Madhya Pradesh's inaugural AI-driven cybersecurity chatbot, designed to arm everyday users against the relentless tide of online threats. Unveiled amid fanfare by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at a bustling ceremony in the heart of the city, the launch pulled in over 500 guests—from top cops and cybersecurity gurus to educators and tech innovators. This bold venture, forged in partnership with Abacus Consultancy Services (ACS), aims to deliver instant, dependable digital defenses right to citizens' devices, transforming how Madhya Pradesh tackles the cyber menace exploding across the state.
Dr. Yadav, gripping the podium with evident enthusiasm, branded Safe Clicks as a "potent yet straightforward leap in contemporary law enforcement." He drove home the point that in today's hyper-connected world, safeguarding against cyber pitfalls is as simple as firing off a message, with innovations like this fostering smarter online habits among the masses. The brainchild of Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh, the chatbot emerges as a vital link, bridging the gap between the public and police to democratize cyber vigilance for all walks of life.
Steering the charge is Additional DCP Crime Branch Rajesh Dandotiya, a tireless advocate who's spearheaded more than 1,000 awareness drives statewide, demystifying digital dangers for ordinary folks. "Sustained and broad-reaching cyber education is non-negotiable," Dandotiya declared at the event. "Safe Clicks propels us forward, placing robust protection literally at users' fingertips." His on-the-ground savvy molded the tool into a sophisticated agentic AI, adept at parsing complex inquiries and dispensing precise, real-time responses drawn from official sources.

At its core, Safe Clicks functions as a versatile virtual aide, doling out cyber hygiene advice, scam-spotting aids, and filing support for complaints. Harnessing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLMs), it guarantees responses that are swift, nuanced, and spot-on. Users can scrutinize dubious links or texts, get briefed on fraud recovery protocols, snag pro tips for airtight online routines, and navigate cybercrime reporting on government sites with ease. Accessible via WhatsApp, web browsers, Android, and iOS apps, it handles multiple tongues and activates with a mere "Hi." The Indore Police oversees the backend, locking in credibility through vetted data streams.
ACS CEO Shishir Tiwari stole the show with a hands-on demo, showcasing the bot's prowess in dissecting a simulated phishing ploy in moments. He touted it as a trailblazing RAG-fueled agentic AI and revealed plans for a swift expansion throughout Madhya Pradesh, potentially inspiring rollouts elsewhere.
The gathering peaked with the rallying cry "Swachh Indore, Ab Surakshit Indore," imploring attendees to embrace the bot and sharpen their threat radar. Tiwari capped the night by presenting Dandotiya with a token of appreciation, saluting his pivotal role in weaving AI into public safety. Indore's trailblazing move cements its status as a cyber innovation hub in Madhya Pradesh, with trailblazers like Dandotiya charting a path for AI-enhanced policing that could redefine national standards. As digital perils mount, Safe Clicks emerges not just as a tool, but as a beacon for a more secure online India.
