Indian Missions in Israel, Qatar, Bahrain On Alert; Helplines Activated Amid Regional Risk
Indian embassies share 24×7 helpline numbers and safety advice for citizens amid regional security escalation.
India’s diplomatic missions in Israel, Bahrain, Qatar and Iran have issued helpline numbers and safety advisories for Indian nationals amid rising regional tensions following military strikes and counterstrikes involving Israel, the United States and Iran. The advisories come as security risks intensify in parts of the Middle East, prompting the government to alert its citizens living and working in the area.
The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv urged all Indian citizens in Israel to exercise “utmost caution” and to stay vigilant given the unsettled security situation. The mission advised Indians to remain in close proximity to designated shelters, familiarise themselves with nearby protected spaces, and avoid all non-essential travel until further notice. In case of emergency, the embassy activated a 24×7 helpline at +972-54-7520711 and provided an email contact for consular assistance.
Similar precautions have been recommended in Qatar, where the Indian Embassy in Doha announced that it is functioning as usual but advised nationals to monitor local news and adhere to updates from authorities. A 24×7 helpline number — 00974-55647502 — and the consular email cons.doha@mea.gov.in were shared for queries or aid assistance.

In Bahrain, Indians have been directed to contact their embassy at 00973-39418071 for any consular support amid the heightened regional situation. At the same time, the Indian mission in Tehran told its citizens to exercise extreme caution, avoid unnecessary movement, and stay indoors where possible. The Tehran embassy provided multiple emergency contact numbers — including +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102, and +989932179359 — for Indian nationals seeking help or information.
The advisories reflect India’s broader effort to safeguard its large expatriate population in the Middle East as tensions persist. Thousands of Indian citizens reside across these countries — particularly in Qatar, which hosts one of the largest Indian diaspora communities — and are vulnerable to disruptions from missile strikes, airspace closures, or security escalations.
The Ministry of External Affairs has been actively monitoring the situation, coordinating with local authorities, and urging Indians to follow safety protocols closely. Authorities emphasised staying informed through official updates and local emergency alerts, reinforcing the importance of preparedness amid volatile conditions in the region.
