Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from members of the Indian diaspora in Paris on Thursday morning after concluding his participation at the G7 Summit held in the French commune of Evian-les-Bains as a guest nation. The visit comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen India–France relations and expand bilateral cooperation across key strategic and economic areas.

Large groups of Indian-origin residents gathered in the French capital, cheering and waving flags as the Prime Minister passed through the area following his arrival. The diaspora members expressed enthusiasm over his presence, with many describing themselves as “proud” of India’s growing global visibility and innovation-driven initiatives, including the broader theme of “Bharat Innovates” highlighted during recent engagements.

In a message shared on social media after his arrival, Modi acknowledged the reception and praised the role of the Indian community in strengthening international ties. He stated that he was warmly welcomed by the diaspora and expressed appreciation for their efforts in bringing India and France closer together through cultural and people-to-people connections.
