India Schedules 58 Middle East Flights Today To Ease Crisis Disruptions
Indian airlines schedule 58 flights to Middle East today amid West Asia tensions.
Indian airlines are planning to operate 58 flights to the Middle East today (March 4) as part of a broader effort to maintain connectivity and assist passengers amid ongoing disruptions caused by the Middle East airspace crisis triggered by the war involving the United States, Israel and Iran. The Ministry of Civil Aviation announced the schedule adjustments on March 3, saying carriers have calibrated their operations to adapt to restricted airspace and evolving safety conditions.
According to the ministry, the 58 flights scheduled for Wednesday include services by major Indian carriers such as IndiGo, Air India and Air India Express, as airlines work to restore services gradually and bring back passengers who were stranded due to previous cancellations.
The planned flights are part of a phased resumption strategy that avoids restricted airspace zones in West Asia, with alternative routings being used where necessary to ensure safe operations. The ministry said special arrangements are being made to facilitate the orderly movement of passengers, particularly those affected by earlier flight cancellations.

So far, restrictions on Middle Eastern airspace have led to massive disruption in international travel: more than 1,200 flights by Indian carriers and several hundred foreign flights have been cancelled since the crisis escalated, reflecting the broader impact on global aviation.
Despite these challenges, limited operations from some Gulf airports — including Dubai and Abu Dhabi — are continuing under certain conditions, and Indian carriers are coordinating closely with foreign aviation authorities and Indian diplomatic missions to manage logistics and ensure passenger safety.
Authorities have urged travellers to confirm flight details with their airlines before travelling to airports and to stay updated on evolving airspace conditions, as schedules remain subject to change depending on security assessments and operational clearances.
