In Letter, Mojtaba Khamenei Appeals To Muslim Nations To Identify The “Real Enemy”

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Sunday called on Muslim-majority countries in the region to strengthen unity and cooperation against what he described as the threats posed by the United States and Israel. His appeal came in a written message issued six months after the start of the Middle East war and was published on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed. In his message, Khamenei said Muslim nations should resolve their problems through unity, friendship and cooperation. He warned that actions that create divisions among Muslims, whether deliberate or inadvertent, ultimately serve the interests of those he described as enemies of Islam. Khamenei specifically urged leaders of regional countries to identify what he called their “real enemy”, understand its plans and confront it. Mojtaba Khamenei assumed Iran's top leadership position shortly after his father, Ali Khamenei, was killed at the beginning of the war on February 28, according to the information provided. The new supreme leader has not yet appeared publicly, and Iranian authorities have not released any video or audio recording of him since his appointment.
