"Have Full Confidence In NTA", Dharmendra Pradhan Reassures 22 Lakh NEET Candidates

As more than 22 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan sought to reassure students and parents, expressing full confidence in the examination process and the authorities responsible for conducting it. His remarks came amid heightened scrutiny surrounding the re-exam, with candidates across the country preparing to take one of India's most competitive entrance tests under renewed security arrangements.

Addressing concerns related to the re-test, Pradhan urged students to remain calm, fearless and focused on their performance rather than external controversies. He emphasized that the government and examination authorities have taken extensive measures to ensure a fair and transparent process. According to the minister, all necessary safeguards have been implemented to prevent irregularities and maintain the integrity of the examination.

The minister specifically voiced confidence in the National Testing Agency, the body responsible for conducting NEET UG and several other national-level entrance examinations. He encouraged candidates to trust the country's examination system and concentrate on their academic goals. His statement was aimed at boosting confidence among aspirants who may have been anxious due to developments that led to the re-examination.

Pradhan noted that comprehensive security arrangements had been established across examination centres nationwide.
