Gurugram SUV Stunt Incident Disrupts Traffic On Dwarka Expressway, Police Probe on

Three men perform SUV stunts, disrupt traffic on Dwarka Expressway.

Three men were seen performing dangerous stunts on SUVs on the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram, triggering a police investigation after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The incident, which took place on a high-speed corridor known for heavy commuter traffic, has raised serious safety concerns among residents and authorities.

According to eyewitness accounts, the SUVs were driven at high speed over several kilometres while the occupants engaged in risky manoeuvres. These included zigzag driving across multiple lanes, sudden braking, and opening vehicle windows while the cars remained in motion. The reckless behaviour reportedly forced several commuters to slow down abruptly to avoid potential collisions.

Witnesses further said the movement of the vehicles appeared coordinated, almost convoy-like, suggesting that the stunts may have been planned rather than spontaneous. The incident created panic among other motorists on the expressway, where high-speed conditions leave little margin for error and even minor misjudgements can result in severe accidents.

The situation was further aggravated by allegations that the number plates of all three SUVs had been tampered with. This has complicated efforts to identify the individuals involved and has raised concerns that the suspects may have intentionally attempted to evade tracking after the incident.

Police officials have taken cognisance of the viral video and are currently verifying details, including vehicle registration data and CCTV footage from the expressway. Authorities have indicated that strict action will be taken once the accused are identified, as such reckless driving poses a significant threat to public safety on one of Gurugram’s busiest arterial routes.

The incident has also renewed calls for stricter enforcement against dangerous driving and stunt-related violations on highways, with officials stressing the need for enhanced surveillance and deterrent measures to prevent similar episodes in the future.
