Flipkart Glam Up Event in Delhi Marred by Poor Management and Overcrowding

Flipkart's Glam Up event turned chaotic during goodie bag distribution.

A promotional beauty event organised by Flipkart at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi descended into chaos on June 19 after attendees and influencers reportedly rushed to collect promised gift hampers, with videos of the incident quickly going viral on social media. The event, titled Glam Up 2026, featured appearances by actors Bhumi Pednekar and Jahnvi Kapoor and was initially praised for its star-studded lineup and interactive sessions before the situation deteriorated toward the end of the programme.

Several clips shared online showed large crowds scrambling for merchandise and goodie bags, with some attendees seen snatching bags from one another and climbing into restricted areas in an attempt to secure the hampers. The videos sparked widespread discussion online, with many users criticising the event's crowd management and questioning the planning behind the distribution process. The incident overshadowed what was intended to be a showcase for beauty creators and influencers.

Among those expressing disappointment was influencer Ravleen Kaur, who posted a video criticising the organisers for the handling of the giveaway. In the caption, she claimed that while the overall experience had been smooth and enjoyable, the event ended on a negative note because many participants who stayed until the conclusion did not receive the promised goodie bags. She alleged that hampers, reportedly valued at around Rs 6,000 as part of a barter collaboration, had already run out before the event officially ended.
