Dubai Billionaire Behind SRK Tower Dismisses Layoff Fears Amid Conflict
Dubai billionaire promises no layoffs despite West Asia tension concerns.
Indian billionaire Rizwan Sajan, the Founder and Chairman of Danube Group, has moved to calm fears about potential job cuts among his workforce amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, asserting that none of his employees will lose their jobs despite geopolitical tensions.
Sajan, whose real estate and construction empire operates extensively in Dubai, shared the reassurance on social media this week, pledging that all salaries will be paid on time and emphasising that the company’s workforce of over 6,000 employees is treated as “family.”
The statement comes against the backdrop of rising unease in the Gulf region due to hostilities triggered by the broader Middle East conflict. Many businesses and expatriates in the UAE have faced uncertainty over operations and safety, prompting some corporate leaders to issue public assurances.

Sajan is also known internationally for unveiling a luxury commercial tower in Dubai named in honour of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, called SHAHRUKHZ by Danube, which underlines the company’s prominence in the emirate’s real estate scene.
In his message to employees, Sajan said that the current situation should be viewed as a “short-term revenue squeeze” that companies are managing without drastic measures like layoffs, opting instead for internal adjustments such as redeploying staff or using accrued leave when necessary.
The UAE remains a major global business hub, attracting entrepreneurs and workers from around the world. While some foreign firms and investors are watching developments closely, many continue to express confidence in the country’s long-term stability and growth prospects.
Sajan’s assurance aims to reassure not only his own employees but also broader business communities concerned about potential economic fallout from regional tensions, reinforcing a message of continuity and operational resilience during uncertain times.
