By 2047, Uttar Pradesh Will Be Fully Developed and Lead ‘Viksit Bharat’: Amit Shah

Amit Shah says Uttar Pradesh will become a fully developed state by India’s 100th Independence Day in 2047.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the ‘Uttar Pradesh Diwas’ celebrations, said that by August 15, 2047, when India marks 100 years of Independence, Uttar Pradesh will emerge as a fully developed state and play a pivotal role in building a ‘Viksit Bharat’. He congratulated the people of UP on the state’s foundation day and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to its development.

Shah highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the “double-engine” government has transformed Uttar Pradesh from a historically underdeveloped region into a key driver of India’s economy. He emphasized the state’s cultural and spiritual significance, citing landmarks associated with Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Baba Vishwanath, Mahavir, and Lord Buddha.

The Union Home Minister pointed to notable developmental projects, including the transformation of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal from a 65-acre garbage site into a clean and functional venue for events like ‘One District, One Cuisine’. He praised the ‘One District, One Product’ initiative, noting it has boosted employment for youth and women and showcased the state’s culinary heritage.

Shah also mentioned the UP Gaurav Samman 2026 awards, presented to figures such as Axiom astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, Physics Wallah founder Alakh Pandey, and poet Hariom Pawar, calling the recognitions a source of inspiration for others. He said the state has achieved national leadership in sectors such as food business and now implements government schemes effectively at the grassroots level.

Recalling milestones like the completion of the Ram Temple and the successful Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Shah said Uttar Pradesh now boasts the highest number of airports in the country and significant reduction in corruption. He expressed confidence that the BJP will form the government again, asserting that dynastic politics cannot deliver development like the party’s leadership under Modi and Yogi.

Concluding his address, Shah urged the people of Uttar Pradesh to support the BJP and reiterated that the state is steadily becoming the growth engine of the nation, ensuring progress for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
