BJP Leaders Praise PM Modi’s 25 Years of Visionary Nation-First Leadership

BJP leaders celebrate PM’s transformative leadership over two decades.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday showered effusive praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he embarked on his 25th year as a head of government, marking a milestone that party stalwarts heralded as an unparalleled era of service, national rejuvenation, and transformative governance. From his swearing-in as Gujarat’s Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, to his stewardship of India since 2014, Modi’s journey was lauded as a testament to his “nation first” vision, credited with lifting millions from poverty and elevating India’s global stature.

Home Minister Amit Shah led the tributes, describing Modi as a “karma yogi” whose selfless dedication has redefined leadership. “In these 24 years, Modi ji has shown how one visionary can transform crores of lives when the mission is a developed India,” Shah posted on X, emphasizing Modi’s role in resolving systemic challenges that once plagued the nation. He highlighted achievements like Gujarat’s industrial and educational overhaul during Modi’s 13-year tenure as Chief Minister and national milestones such as bolstered security, farmer welfare schemes, and inclusive growth since 2014. Shah noted that Modi’s policies have turned perennial problems into “chapters of history,” citing the abrogation of Article 370 and the rollout of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as game-changers.

BJP President J P Nadda echoed the sentiment, framing Modi’s ascent from a grassroots party worker to India’s “pradhan sevak” (chief servant) as an “exemplary journey of service, dedication, and national resurgence.” In a detailed X post, Nadda underscored Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All, Effort of All), which he credited for uplifting marginalized communities and projecting India as a strategic powerhouse globally. “Modi ji’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, coinciding with India’s centenary of independence, galvanizes millions of workers to serve relentlessly,” Nadda stated, adding that the nation is fortunate to thrive under such stewardship.

Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad amplified the narrative, portraying Modi as a tireless leader working “day and night” to forge a new India defined by equitable development. “From the poor to farmers, youth to women, every section is witnessing holistic progress,” Prasad told reporters, citing data that over 25 crore Indians have escaped poverty since 2014, per NITI Aayog’s Multidimensional Poverty Index. He highlighted flagship initiatives like the PM Awas Yojana, which has delivered 4.7 crore homes, and the Ayushman Bharat scheme, covering 55 crore citizens with free healthcare. “The world now respects Modi ji as a peace-loving, authentic leader driving India’s ascent to the fifth-largest economy,” he added, referencing India’s GDP growth from $2 trillion in 2014 to $3.4 trillion in 2025.

The tributes come amid a polarized political landscape, with opposition parties like Congress questioning the inclusivity of Modi’s economic policies, pointing to unemployment rates hovering at 7.8% (CMIE, 2025) and inflation spikes affecting rural households. Yet, BJP leaders framed Modi’s record as unassailable, pointing to infrastructure leaps—17,000 km of new highways since 2014—and digital strides, with UPI handling 45% of global digital transactions by volume last year. Modi’s personal reflection on X, noting his “constant endeavor” to improve lives, struck a chord, amassing 3 million views and reinforcing his connect with the masses.

As India navigates challenges from climate goals to geopolitical tensions, the BJP’s unified chorus signals a strategic push to rally behind Modi’s legacy ahead of state elections in 2026. Allies like Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra’s Eknath Shinde echoed similar praise, cementing the NDA’s narrative of continuity. With Modi’s vision pegged to a $5 trillion economy by 2028, the milestone celebration doubles as a clarion call for supporters to double down on his ambitious roadmap. Whether this galvanizes voters or fuels further debate, Modi’s 25-year odyssey remains a defining chapter in India’s modern saga.
