#BiharRally: ‘Press Lotus to End Jungle Raj Forever,’ Amit Shah Urges Support for BJP

Amit Shah rallies Bihar voters against RJD's past misrule.

Home Minister Amit Shah issued a stark warning to Bihar voters during a high-energy election rally in Darbhanga on Tuesday, imploring them to press the BJP's lotus symbol on EVMs to block any resurgence of the infamous "jungle raj" that he claimed ravaged the state under 15 years of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi's RJD governance. Shah portrayed the NDA's return as the sole safeguard for progress, contrasting it sharply with the lawlessness, corruption, and stagnation that defined the opposition's previous tenure.

Shah unveiled ambitious infrastructure promises, pledging Rs 26,000 crore to tame the Koshi River for widespread irrigation across the Mithilanchal region and to curb devastating annual floods. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the NDA would harness waters from the Ganga, Koshi, and Gandak rivers, transforming Bihar's agricultural landscape and delivering long-term flood resilience to vulnerable communities long plagued by natural disasters.

The Home Minister assured locals that an NDA victory would eliminate the need for residents of Mithila, Koshi, and Tirhut to travel to Patna or Delhi for advanced medical care, with the upcoming AIIMS in Darbhanga set to provide world-class treatment close to home. He highlighted existing achievements, noting that 3.60 crore people now benefit from free health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh, while a new IT park in Darbhanga would generate substantial employment opportunities for the state's youth.

Shah lambasted the RJD for lodging complaints with the Election Commission to halt Rs 10,000 benefits for 'Jeevika Didis' self-help groups, asserting that no amount of opposition maneuvering could reverse funds already transferred directly to these women. He accused the RJD-Congress alliance of insulting 'Chhathi Maiya', the Prime Minister, and even Modi's mother, predicting that Bihar's electorate would deliver a resounding rebuke by decisively ousting such parties in the polls.

Reiterating Bihar's cultural intolerance for disrespect toward revered traditions like Chhathi Maiya, Shah forecasted a complete wipeout of the RJD-Congress in the assembly elections. He framed the vote as a moral imperative to avenge these perceived slights and secure a future of development, security, and dignity under NDA rule, urging every voter to choose the lotus as a symbol of irreversible progress.
