BADASS KASH!! Proposal for FBI Agents To Combat Train with UFC

Raised during a call with the heads of the FBI’s 55 field offices, the idea stems from Patel’s vision to toughen up the bureau, inspired by his deputy, Dan Bongino, a UFC enthusiast who encouraged him to try it himself.

Newly appointed FBI Director Kash Patel has proposed a partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to enhance agents’ martial arts and self-defense skills. Raised during a February 26 video call with the heads of the FBI’s 55 field offices, the idea stems from Patel’s vision to toughen up the bureau, inspired by his deputy, Dan Bongino, a UFC enthusiast who encouraged him to try it himself.

UFC fighting, a mixed martial arts (MMA) sport, blends disciplines like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and boxing. Fighters grapple on the ground, deliver precise strikes, and use submissions like chokeholds or joint locks to force opponents to tap out—all within an octagonal cage. It demands endurance, strategy, and raw physicality, often ending in knockouts or referee stoppages.

Patel, tapping into UFC CEO Dana White’s close ties to President Donald Trump, sees it as a “great” fit. UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz, on Fox & Friends today, praised the idea, saying consistent training with top fighters could build “muscle memory” for real-world threats. Critics, including agents who dubbed it “wacky,” argue the FBI’s existing Krav Maga training suffices, hinting at political motives over necessity. No formal talks are confirmed by the FBI or UFC.
