Ali Larijani Warns Trump: “We Will Not Leave You Alone” After War Escalates

Iran warns Trump of retaliation after Khamenei’s killing; US president dismisses the threat.

Iran’s top security official, Ali Larijani, has issued a strong warning against former US President Donald Trump, saying he “will not be left alone” and must “pay the price” for actions taken against Iran. The remarks came amid rising tensions in the Middle East following military strikes involving the United States and Israel.

Larijani, a close aide to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, posted on X that Iran would “relentlessly avenge the blood of our leader and our people.” He also directed a warning to neighboring countries, stating they should prevent US forces from using their territories against Iran, or Tehran would take action itself. Larijani claimed that Iran has captured some American soldiers, though details have not been independently verified.

Trump responded dismissively to the warnings, saying he did not know Larijani and that the threats did not concern him. He also reaffirmed that US operations against Iran would continue, calling for Tehran’s “unconditional surrender.”

Larijani, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said in interviews that the United States and Israel aimed to weaken Iran and compared their strategy to attempts to influence Venezuela. He emphasized that Iran would continue responding to any attacks from bases in the region and that Trump would face consequences for decisions that, according to him, led to significant loss of Iranian lives.

The conflict has already resulted in significant casualties in the region, with missile and drone attacks reported between Iran, Israel, and US military positions in neighboring countries. Larijani said more than 1,000 Iranians have been killed, alongside casualties in Israel and among US personnel.

Analysts say the escalating rhetoric highlights the fragility of the situation and the potential for further regional instability. Both sides remain entrenched in their positions, with little sign of immediate de-escalation, raising concerns about the broader implications for Middle East security.
