23 More Dead! Israeli Airstrikes Rain Fire on Gaza

Israeli Airstrikes Claim 23 Lives in Gaza Overnight Amid Escalating Conflict

Israeli airstrikes pounded the Gaza Strip overnight into Tuesday, killing at least 23 Palestinians, including a family of five in a tent near Khan Younis, medics reported.

The strikes, which shattered a fragile ceasefire, mark a deadly resumption of Israel’s 17-month campaign against Hamas, triggered by the group’s October 7, 2023, assault that killed 1,200 and took 251 hostages in southern Israel.

Nasser Hospital, inundated since Israel reignited its bombardment last week, confirmed the deaths of three children and their parents in the Khan Younis strike, alongside four others from two separate attacks. In central Gaza, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital received six bodies from three strikes, while Awda Hospital reported three killed in Nuseirat’s refugee camp.

Gaza City saw five perish in a residential building hit, with 12 wounded, per the Health Ministry’s emergency service.

The ministry tallies over 50,000 Palestinians killed and 113,000 injured since the war began, not distinguishing combatants from civilians. Israel claims 20,000 militants dead, offering no proof, and insists it targets only Hamas, blaming the group for operating amid civilians—a charge Hamas denies.

The renewed violence, following a ceasefire collapse, has reignited global alarm as Gaza’s death toll climbs and hospitals buckle under the strain.

Israel’s stated aim remains Hamas’s destruction, but with no end in sight, the overnight strikes underscore a relentless cycle of devastation gripping the enclave.
