Indian Air Force Releases Video Marking One Year Of Operation Sindoor

Indian Air Force marks Op Sindoor anniversary with video

The Indian Air Force (IAF) marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor by releasing a video on social media platform X, highlighting precision strikes carried out during the military action and reiterating India’s stance against terrorism. The post, shared at 1:05 am on Thursday, featured high-intensity visuals from the operation along with strong messaging on national security and counter-terror response.

Operation Sindoor was launched following a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 tourists were killed by terrorists linked to cross-border networks. The operation, led primarily by the Indian Air Force in coordination with other defence forces, targeted terror infrastructure and associated military facilities across the border in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied regions.

According to defence accounts and official messaging, the strikes involved the use of advanced precision weaponry, including cruise missiles, drones, and glide bombs. The targets reportedly included terrorist training camps and infrastructure linked to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, along with multiple locations identified as operational hubs. The IAF described the strikes as a demonstration of “precise in action” capabilities aimed at dismantling terror networks.

The video released by the Air Force also included a statement attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reinforcing India’s position that those responsible for terrorism and their backers would be identified, tracked, and punished. The accompanying message from the IAF described the operation as “Justice served,” adding that it would remain “eternal in memory,” while asserting that India neither forgets nor forgives such attacks.

Officials and defence messaging have previously described Operation Sindoor as one of India’s most extensive multi-domain military responses in recent decades. The strikes reportedly targeted multiple locations across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied territories, including areas identified as hubs of terrorist planning and logistics.

Among the sites mentioned in defence briefings were headquarters and infrastructure linked to major terror groups, along with facilities in regions such as Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bhimber, and others. The operation was presented as a coordinated effort aimed at degrading the operational capability of cross-border terror networks.

Indian authorities have maintained that the strikes delivered a strong strategic signal, with reports indicating that subsequent diplomatic and military signalling contributed to de-escalation discussions in the days that followed. Pakistan, on its part, had raised concerns over the strikes at international forums, while India maintained that the operation was a necessary counter-terror response. The anniversary post by the IAF underscores continued emphasis on deterrence and operational readiness, framing Operation Sindoor as a defining moment in India’s counter-terror doctrine and military posture.
