UP SHOCKER!! Inebriated Man Murders Mother Over Argument

A horrific incident unfolded in Baroli village, Baghpat, where a 30-year-old man, Sumit, allegedly murdered his 70-year-old mother after she scolded him for returning home intoxicated. The gruesome act, which involved slitting her throat with a sickle, has left the local community in shock. Sumit was arrested by the police, who also recovered the victim’s body from a sugarcane field where he had buried it inside a sack.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) N P Singh, the incident occurred after Sumit attended a wedding at his sister’s house on Monday, where he consumed excessive alcohol. Upon returning home in a drunken state, his mother reprimanded him, sparking his rage. In a violent outburst, Sumit attacked her and killed her with the sickle. At the time, his father was absent, working as a watchman in a neighboring village, leaving no one to intervene.

Police investigations revealed a disturbing history: Sumit had previously been jailed in 2021 for murdering his elder brother, Sonu, in a dispute linked to his substance abuse. Released on bail, he continued his pattern of addiction and aggression. Family members confirmed that Sumit was heavily addicted to drugs and frequently clashed with his parents while under the influence, painting a picture of a troubled individual whose substance abuse fueled repeated acts of violence.

The body was discovered after police acted swiftly on the case, and Sumit is now in custody as the investigation continues. This tragedy underscores the devastating consequences of addiction and unchecked anger, leaving a family shattered and a community grappling with the loss. Authorities have not yet released further details on potential charges or trial proceedings.
