Trump Says Most Iranian Missiles Neutralized, Warns Of More Strikes
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that U.S. forces have destroyed nearly 90 per cent of Iran’s missiles, saying the United States is “way ahead of schedule” in its military campaign against Tehran’s arsenal and warning that further strikes are coming. Trump’s comments came amid the ongoing conflict involving U.S., Israeli, and Iranian forces in the Middle East.
The president portrayed the reduction in Iranian missile capability as evidence of significant progress by U.S. and allied forces, asserting that Tehran’s offensive capabilities have been substantially degraded after a campaign of air strikes and other military operations. He suggested that the campaign would continue into the near future, with additional attacks likely if Iran persists in hostile action.
Trump also pledged intensified military pressure in the coming days as part of what he has described as a broader effort to undermine Iran’s military infrastructure. His remarks came as U.S. Defense officials describe declining Iranian offensive activity, including fewer missiles and drones launched compared with earlier stages of the conflict.

The heightened rhetoric follows a series of U.S. and Israeli strikes on strategic targets inside Iran, including a recent assault on Kharg Island — a critical oil export hub — that Trump said “obliterated” military positions while sparing oil infrastructure for now. The operation has been framed by the White House as necessary to prevent threats to international shipping and energy supplies.
In addition to Trump’s assertions about missile destruction, the president has also warned that U.S. forces are prepared to escalate strikes further if Iranian attacks continue or if Tehran attempts to disrupt key maritime routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.
Analysts caution that such statements by political leaders often reflect strategic messaging as much as battlefield reality, and independent confirmation of exact levels of Iranian weaponry destroyed is difficult outside military channels. The situation on the ground remains fluid and subject to rapid change. (Analysis based on reported remarks and defence activity.)
