Tragic Accident in UP: 2-Year-Old Girl Killed After Being Hit by School Van, Driver Arrested

A tragic incident occurred on Friday morning in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, when a 2-year-old girl, Budhiya Paswan, was struck and killed by a school vehicle near Narayangarh village. According to police reports, the child suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot. Local authorities rushed to the scene following the accident.

Revati Police Station House Officer Rajesh Bahadur Singh stated that a police team reached the location shortly after the incident. The vehicle involved, belonging to a private school, has been seized, and the child’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

A formal case has been registered against the driver, identified as Rajesh Yadav, following a complaint lodged by the girl’s father, Aalha Paswan. The police have confirmed that Yadav has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
