Quarrel in Mandawali Turns Deadly as Police Detain Suspect
A teenager has been apprehended in east Delhi’s Mandawali area for allegedly killing his 15-year-old relative, Imran, by stabbing him with a piece of glass during a quarrel, police reported on Sunday. The incident, which occurred in the early hours, has shocked the local community.
Police were alerted around 12:06 AM when Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital reported Imran as "brought dead." Officers met the victim’s sister, Shabana, who revealed that Imran was attacked with a sharp glass piece, sustaining a fatal injury under his left arm. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed during treatment.
During routine patrolling in Preet Vihar later that night, police detained a suspicious boy who confessed to the stabbing after a heated argument with Imran. The suspect was handed over to Mandawali police station for further action. Initial investigations confirmed that the victim and the accused were relatives from the same community.

The police are continuing their probe to uncover the full circumstances of the quarrel. This tragic incident follows another recent violent case in Mandawali, where a 17-year-old killed a 15-year-old neighbor with broken TV glass.
