Shocking Video: MP Cop Drags Man on Mercedes Bonnet in Gwalior Fury!

A dramatic confrontation in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, has ignited public fury after Sub-Inspector Prashant Sharma allegedly dragged Ankit Jadon, a hotel associate, on the bonnet of his Mercedes-Benz for nearly 500 meters. The incident, captured on CCTV outside Hotel Bellevue in Patel Nagar, occurred Thursday evening during traffic management for a VIP visit by BJP Madhya Pradesh President Hemant Khandelwal.

The clash began when Sharma, stationed at University Police Station, attempted to clear a traffic jam caused by Jadon’s parked Swift car. After no one responded to his request to move the vehicle, Sharma reportedly shattered the car’s rear glass, escalating tensions. When confronted, Sharma drove off, hitting Jadon, who clung to the bonnet. The officer allegedly sped on, dragging Jadon before abruptly braking, throwing him onto the road with injuries to his hand.

The viral video, widely shared on social media, prompted swift action. Director General of Police Kailash Makwana ordered Sharma’s immediate "line-attachment," removing him from field duty. Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmveer Singh assigned Additional SP Krishna Lalchandani to investigate, with all angles, including allegations of Sharma’s intoxication and threats to damage hotel property, under scrutiny. Sharma defended himself online, claiming he was on official duty and the car belonged to his father, but he avoided addressing the video evidence directly.

Inspector General Arvind Saxena called Sharma’s actions “inappropriate,” and the probe’s findings will determine further disciplinary measures. The incident has sparked widespread outrage, raising questions about police conduct during VIP movements.
