UP Home Guard Dragged 5 KM on Car Bonnet After Driver Refuses to Stop!
In a terrifying late-night chase, a 37-year-old home guard was dragged nearly 5 kilometers on the bonnet of a speeding car after the reckless driver ignored orders to stop. The shocking incident unfolded around 11:45 PM on Saturday when the home guard, who was directing traffic, tried to stop the vehicle being driven the wrong way on a one-way road.
According to Bareilly’s Superintendent of Police, Manush Pareek, the driver took off despite repeated instructions, forcing the home guard to cling desperately to the car’s bonnet as it sped through multiple parts of the city, including Chauphula Bridge, Chowki Chowk, and Mission Compound.
“The driver finally slowed down, allowing the home guard to jump off and escape unharmed,” Pareek confirmed. However, the driver then fled the scene, threatening the home guard before disappearing. Police quickly set up roadblocks after receiving alerts and launched an extensive search for the suspect and the vehicle.
