Shocking Twist in IIM-Calcutta Rape Case: Father Denies Alleged Assault!
Father claims no rape occurred at IIM-Calcutta, contradicting police reports of an assault in the boys' hostel.
A sensational twist has emerged in the alleged rape case at the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta, where a woman accused a student of assault inside a hostel. The accused was arrested on Saturday following the woman’s FIR, police confirmed. However, the woman’s father has now claimed that no such incident took place, stating his daughter was injured in an accident instead.
The alleged assault reportedly occurred on Friday in the boys’ hostel at IIM-Calcutta, located in Joka, Kolkata. According to the FIR, the woman was invited for a counseling session, consumed a spiked drink, lost consciousness, and later realized she had been raped, a police officer stated.
Contradicting this, the woman’s father told reporters on Saturday that his daughter called him around 9:40 pm on Friday, saying she had fallen from a vehicle, lost consciousness, and sustained injuries. “She was admitted to SSKM Hospital. Based on what she told me, nothing like what the police are claiming happened,” he said.

The accused student was remanded to police custody until July 19 by the additional chief judicial magistrate at Alipore court. The student’s lawyer argued that IIM-Calcutta is a highly secure campus with restricted entry, suggesting discrepancies in the allegations.
Police are continuing their investigation to uncover the truth behind the conflicting claims in this high-profile case.
