Reckless Bikers in Viral Video Overtake Bihar Police Jeep; FIR Lodged
A viral social media clip shows youths standing on a speeding bike, passing a police jeep; the Bihar Traffic Police initiate a case for dangerous driving.
A daring highway stunt by reckless bikers in Bihar has gone viral on social media, sparking outrage and prompting the Bihar Traffic Police to register a case against the offenders. The clip, widely shared online, shows the bikers performing life-threatening manoeuvres on a busy highway, even overtaking a police patrol vehicle during the stunt.
The footage captures two young men standing upright on a speeding motorcycle, hands clasped together, as they narrowly weave past trucks and other vehicles. The audacity peaks when they pass a Bihar Police jeep mid-stunt, seemingly unconcerned about law enforcement. The video has drawn sharp criticism from netizens, many of whom expressed frustration at what they see as a growing culture of impunity on the state’s roads.
Social media users reacted strongly, with comments demanding immediate action. One post read, “Identify via number plate, slap heavy fines, seize the bike!” Another warned, “Seize the motorcycle, disqualify these idiots—no one has the right to risk innocent lives.” The viral nature of the video has amplified calls for stricter enforcement and road safety awareness campaigns.

In response to the uproar, the Bihar Traffic Police confirmed they had filed a case under relevant sections related to dangerous driving. Officials said they are actively working to identify the riders and their vehicle. “We prioritise road safety; strict action is underway,” a police spokesperson said, promising impoundment and penalties to discourage such reckless behaviour.
The incident highlights a broader road safety crisis in Bihar, where dangerous stunts and negligent driving continue to put innocent lives at risk. Experts warn that without effective enforcement, awareness campaigns, and strict adherence to helmet and traffic laws, similar episodes could lead to more fatal accidents. Authorities are now under intense public pressure to increase highway patrols and take strong preventive measures.
