Pune Porsche Crash Accused Celebrates With Bash Hours After Getting Bail

Pune Porsche accused celebrates with bash after getting bail.

A video allegedly showing celebration after bail in the high-profile Pune Porsche crash case has triggered widespread public outrage, reigniting anger over the 2024 incident that claimed the lives of two IT professionals. The case involves the fatal accident in May 2024 in which Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa were killed when a luxury car reportedly driven by a minor crashed in Pune.

The viral clip is said to show real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, father of the minor accused in the case, celebrating with family members after securing bail. In the video, Agarwal is seen dancing at what appears to be a private gathering, with garlands made of currency notes, prompting sharp criticism on social media platforms. Many users described the alleged celebration as insensitive given the gravity of the case and the continuing grief of the victims’ families.

However, legal representatives of the Agarwal family have denied that the video is recent. According to the defence counsel, the footage is from 2023 and was recorded during a silver wedding anniversary celebration. They stated that the video is being misrepresented online and insisted that no recent celebratory event has taken place following the bail order.

The lawyers further clarified that family members present in the video were attending a past personal function and that there has been no new gathering related to the legal developments in the case. Despite these clarifications, the clip continues to circulate widely, drawing strong reactions and renewed debate over accountability in the case.

The legal proceedings have remained under intense public scrutiny since the May 2024 crash, which initially saw the minor accused granted bail within hours and directed to write a road safety essay, a decision that sparked nationwide outrage. Subsequent investigations led to allegations that the accused’s parents were involved in manipulating evidence and pressuring their driver to take responsibility for the incident.

In March 2026, the Supreme Court granted bail to Vishal Agarwal after he spent nearly 22 months in custody, while directing him not to contact witnesses in the case. The latest controversy has once again brought the case back into public focus, highlighting ongoing tensions between legal outcomes and public sentiment in one of Pune’s most widely discussed criminal cases.
