Private Bus Hits Auto In Andhra’s Palnadu, Leaving Seven Dead And Eight Injured

Seven people were killed and eight others, including four children, were injured after a private bus collided with an auto-rickshaw in Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district on Thursday, police said. The accident occurred near Adda Road in Chilakaluripet mandal when the bus, travelling from Vijayawada towards Tirupati, rammed into the auto carrying 15 passengers. According to police, the collision caused multiple casualties among those travelling in the auto. Four passengers died at the spot, while the injured were taken to nearby government hospitals for treatment. The accident occurred on a route connecting major towns in the region and prompted an immediate emergency response from local authorities and medical teams.

A police official from Chilakaluripet said two of the injured passengers later died at the Government General Hospital in Guntur. Another person succumbed to injuries at the government hospital in Chilakaluripet, taking the total death toll to seven. The remaining injured passengers, including four children, were being treated at hospitals, with their condition not immediately known. The private bus was travelling towards Tirupati from Vijayawada when it collided with the auto-rickshaw near Adda Road. The impact left several passengers injured and caused significant disruption in the area.

Police and emergency personnel reached the site following the accident and began coordinating rescue and medical assistance for those trapped or injured. The incident has once again highlighted the risks faced by passengers travelling in heavily occupied vehicles on busy roads. The auto involved in the collision was carrying 15 people when it was struck by the private bus.
