Postmortem Report Confirms Prateek Yadav Died Due To Lung Blood Clot
Prateek Yadav died due to blood clot lungs confirmed.
Prateek Yadav, stepson of late Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, died due to a cardiac and respiratory failure caused by a massive pulmonary thromboembolism, according to details from his postmortem report.
The 38-year-old passed away in Lucknow on Wednesday morning after his health suddenly deteriorated at his residence. Medical authorities later confirmed that the cause of death was “cardiorespiratory collapse due to massive pulmonary thromboembolism,” a condition where blood clots block arteries in the lungs, severely affecting breathing and blood circulation.
The postmortem report further stated that all injuries found on the body were “antemortem,” indicating they occurred before death. It also noted that the entire heart and pulmonary thromboembolic material had been preserved in formalin for histopathological examination, while viscera samples were retained for chemical analysis as part of routine medical procedure.

Pulmonary thromboembolism is a serious and often sudden medical condition that can lead to rapid deterioration if a clot obstructs blood flow in the lungs. Medical experts note that it can occur without significant prior warning in many cases, depending on underlying risk factors.
According to Civil Hospital director Dr GP Gupta, the hospital was informed about Prateek Yadav’s deteriorating condition around 5 am on Wednesday. A medical team was immediately dispatched to his residence, but he was declared dead after examination.
The sudden demise has prompted condolences from political leaders and public figures across party lines, with many expressing shock over the unexpected nature of his passing. Further formal procedures related to the postmortem and investigation are expected to be completed in accordance with standard medical and legal protocols.
