PM Modi Praises Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Team on Mann Ki Baat for Historic Ranji Trophy Win

PM Modi credited captain Paras Dogra's leadership as pivotal to Jammu and Kashmir's Ranji Trophy triumph.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for clinching their maiden Ranji Trophy title, calling it a historic achievement. Speaking during his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, Modi highlighted the significance of the victory and expressed optimism about the future of sports in the region.

Referring to the team’s triumph, the Prime Minister said the win marked a proud moment not just for Jammu and Kashmir but for the entire country. He noted that March had been an exciting month for cricket fans, with multiple memorable moments adding to the nation’s sporting enthusiasm. The victory, he said, reflects the growing talent and determination of players from across India.

Modi also commended team captain Paras Dogra for his leadership, crediting him with playing a crucial role in guiding the side to success. He described Dogra’s performance as exemplary, stating that his skills and captaincy were instrumental in securing the title during the final held in Hubli, Karnataka.
