PM Modi Congratulates Newly Appointed BJP National Office Bearers Across India

PM Modi congratulates newly appointed BJP office bearers ahead of elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated the newly appointed national office-bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), describing the new team as a combination of organisational experience, energy and grassroots connection. The appointments have been made to assist BJP president Nitin Nabin in managing the party's organisational affairs and preparing for upcoming assembly elections. Modi expressed confidence that the newly appointed leaders would contribute to strengthening the party while maintaining a focus on public service.

Congratulating the new office-bearers, Modi said the team brings together different forms of organisational experience and political energy. He said the combination of experience and grassroots connect would help the party in its organisational work. "I am confident they will give their best in strengthening our party and focussing on public service," Modi said in his message, while extending his best wishes to those given responsibilities in the organisation.

The BJP's latest organisational reshuffle has been described as a blend of experience and younger energy, with several prominent leaders returning to important party positions. Former Union minister Smriti Irani has been appointed as one of the national general secretaries, marking her return to a core organisational role. Ram Madhav, a prominent Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue, has also been named a national vice president as part of the new organisational structure.

The party has appointed 13 national vice presidents, among them former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat and BJP leader Baijayant Jay Panda. The appointments reflect an effort to bring leaders with varied political and organisational experience into key positions. The new team is expected to play an important role as the BJP strengthens its organisational machinery ahead of upcoming electoral contests.

The reshuffle also places emphasis on wider representation within the party's senior organisational structure. Six of the 13 national vice presidents are women, while the new team includes four women secretaries and a woman national general secretary. Two members of the Muslim community have also been included among the office-bearers. Overall, around 40 per cent of the office-bearers belong to marginalised communities, while leaders from major regions of the country have been represented.

The new organisational team also includes professionals from outside traditional political backgrounds, with academics and a doctor among those appointed to party responsibilities. The appointments come as the BJP seeks to strengthen its organisational network and prepare for forthcoming assembly elections. Modi's message signals his expectation that the new office-bearers will use their experience and grassroots connections to expand the party's organisational reach while continuing to focus on public service.
