One Person Killed, Five Injured In Shooting Inside Mall Of Louisiana

At least one person was killed and five others were wounded after an exchange of gunfire inside the Mall of Louisiana, with authorities confirming the incident stemmed from a confrontation between two groups rather than a random attack.

The shooting occurred in the mall’s food court area on Thursday afternoon, when an argument escalated into gunfire, triggering panic among shoppers and employees. Witnesses described chaotic scenes, with people running for safety as multiple shots rang out and victims were seen lying injured on the ground.

Police officials said that innocent bystanders were among those hit in the crossfire, underscoring the indiscriminate danger posed by the shootout. Some of the injured required hospital treatment, with at least two reported to have undergone surgery following the incident.
