Delhi Police have apprehended a notorious 49-year-old criminal, Neeraj Sharma, in a dramatic arrest near Select City Walk Mall in Saket, South Delhi, following a crucial tip-off. Sharma, a Govind Puri resident, is implicated in over 50 serious crimes across Delhi and neighboring states, including murder, extortion, robbery, burglary, theft, and illegal arms possession.
Previously declared a proclaimed offender by a court for evading arrest in a motor vehicle theft case at Madhu Vihar Police Station, Sharma has a history of using multiple identities to dodge law enforcement.
Authorities confirmed that he has prior convictions for murder and extortion. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in tackling organized crime in the region, with police continuing to investigate Sharma’s extensive criminal network.
