Neighbour kills 69-year-old Shoba, steals gold in home.

A 69-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her neighbour inside her residence in Nelamangala on the outskirts of Bengaluru, even as her wheelchair-bound husband was present in the same house, police said. The accused was arrested within hours of the crime, according to officials.

The victim, identified as Shoba, was a resident of Pete Beedi in Nelamangala. As reported by the Hindustan Times, the incident occurred on Wednesday and reportedly unfolded in front of her husband, who was unable to intervene due to his physical condition. Authorities said the accused allegedly killed the woman and fled with her gold ornaments.

Police teams quickly launched a manhunt following the incident and apprehended the suspect within a few hours. Investigators are currently probing the sequence of events and the exact motive behind the killing, though preliminary information suggests robbery may have been a key factor.
