Mathura Police Bust Sex Rackets in Guesthouses and Rescue Women
Mathura police bust sex rackets in guesthouses, rescue multiple women.
In a decisive crackdown on illegal activities, Mathura police conducted raids on two guesthouses on September 4, 2025, uncovering alleged sex rackets and rescuing multiple women. The operations, carried out in the Kotwali and Highway police station areas, led to the arrest of one guesthouse operator and a customer, while another owner and customer fled the scene. The raids are part of an ongoing effort to curb illicit operations in the city, following the rescue of 15 women from similar establishments in recent weeks.
Circle Officer Ashna Chaudhary, who led the operations, stated that police had intensified efforts to identify guesthouses exploiting women for profit. At a guesthouse on Sonkh Road under Kotwali police jurisdiction, five women and a customer were found in compromising circumstances, resulting in the arrest of operator Deepak Khandelwal. A simultaneous raid in the Highway police station area led to the rescue of six women, though the guesthouse owner and a customer escaped during the chaos.
Authorities seized a significant amount of objectionable material from both locations, and cases have been registered under relevant legal provisions. The police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the remaining suspects and dismantle similar operations, underscoring their commitment to combating illegal activities and ensuring the safety of vulnerable individuals in Mathura.
